Few days after Mombasa Police Commander George Kingi reported having been robbed of his rifle by armed criminals, the firearm has been recovered behind his house.
Mr Kingi was going home on Monday night when three robbers in a tuktuk blocked the road and stole his gun that was loaded with 15 rounds of ammunition, he earlier reported.
His driver found the firearm, wrapped in a disposable bag, on Thursday morning while supervising a worker in Mr Kingi’s compound.
