A terror linked suspect has been arrested by a Multi-agency team in Nairobi and 95 used ‘Kabambe’ mobile phones recovered from him.

The 29-year-old Mohamed Abubakar Hussein was arrested on Tuesday morning and placed in custody to help with further investigation.

The arrest comes few days after various embassies in Nairobi issues warnings of possible terror attacks in public places frequented by western nationals in the capital.

The National Police Service Spokesperson Bruno Shioso however maintained that the security had been heightened by advised citizens to be vigilant.

“Regarding the terror alert from France, we assure the public that security of Kenyans including critical infrastructure is beefed up around the country especially cities,” said Mr Shioso.
