A 43-year-old man was Friday charged with allegedly defiling his 10-year-old daughter inside his room in Kapseret, Uasin Gishu.
The suspect, who separated with the minor’s mother, is said to have repeatedly defiled the Grade Five girl in September this year.
The abuse was discovered by a teacher who saw the girl walking with difficulties and was later reported at Langas police station.
A medical report at Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital showed that the girl had been defiled.
Appearing before Eldoret Senior Resident Magistrate Christine Menya, the suspect pleaded not guilty to incest.
The court is yet to make a ruling on whether he will be released on bond prior to the trial.
The case will be proceed on October 26.
