A Jubilee MCA candidate who lost in the August 9 elections was Wednesday arraigned for allegedly assaulting two people in pub.
The Jubilee politician, Roy Mutembei who unsuccessfully contested for Kirimari MCA seat is said to have injured Diana Wawira and Francis Muriuki, working Java bar, following an altercation last Saturday.
The two workers immediately reported the incident prompting the politician’s arrest.
Before Embu Senior Resident Magistrate Tony Kwambai, the suspect denied the assault charges and appealed for a release on bond.
He was released on Sh30, 000 cash bail with the case set to be mentioned on September 8.
