Police have arrested a 14-year-old Class Six pupil who killed his 10-year-old friend for eating his meal of Ugali at Navakholo area in Kakamega County.
The deceased was looking after his family’s cattle when his schoolmate attacked and hit him with a blunt object killing him on the spot and later dumped his body at River Simakina.
Reports indicate that the Class Six learner was furious after he was told that a meal he was to eat after school had been taken by his neighbour.
He would on Friday inform teachers of the incident and lead them to the River where the body was recovered.
Investigations into the incident are underway.
