A 20-year-old Meru boy who scored A (minus) in the 2019 KCSE exams at Chogoria Boys but did not join University due to financial constraints has appealed for assistance to study Mechatronics course at Dedan Kimathi University of Technology.
Maxwell Kamunyaki from Njia in Igembe North was to join the University last September but his family could not raise the required fees within the admission deadline.
But even after the Sh29, 500 fees for the first semester was raised thereafter by his grandparent, differences between his parents left him with no one to take care of his other expenses forcing him to stay at home.
Had he not visited the former school to pick his leaving certificate on September 24, his continued stay at home would not have been known.
Mr Kamunyaki hopes to join early next month (October) but has no money to cater for his expenses such as renting a house and buying food let alone his four-year fees.
