Two more victims of the Malanga petrol tanker explosion have died bringing the death toll to 17.
The two, who sustained severe burns during the last Saturday incident, are an expectant woman and male patient who were receiving treatment at Siaya County Referral Hospital.
The deaths came a day after two others succumbed at the same hospital.
Thirteen (13) people perished on the spot and more than 30 sustained injuries after the tanker exploded while they were siphoning fuel moments after the vehicle overturned after it was involved in a head-on collision with a lorry ferrying milk along Kisumu-Busia road.
The tragedy occurred few kilometres from Sidindi where a tanker ferrying petroleum burst into flames as residents tried to scoop fuel claiming 39 lives and leaving scores injured in July 1998.
