The Isiolo International Airport, which was opened three years ago and was expected to be a game-changer in the Northern Kenya counties’ economy, still lay idle.

Fly-Sax, which has since changed its name to Budget Airlines East African Air Express, was the first airline to attempt the new route and has backed off on three occasions for lack of local support.
