Police have mounted more than 10 temporary roadblocks in Nairobi blocking hundreds of residents who were heading home past curfew time.
Motorists have been stuck along Lang’ata and Thika roads, Arboretum, Utawala, Kasarani, Kayole, and Two Rivers among others as police insist they will be allowed through at 4 am when the curfew ends.
Kenyans have shared mixed reactions following the incident with the majority saying the crowding could spread Covid-19 while others supporting the move which they said would ensure strict adherence to curfew in the future.
