At least 10 pupils from less fortunate families will benefit from metallic boxes, essential for students joining boarding schools, once they are set to join Secondary Schools.
Isiolo North MP aspirant Mwenda Thuranira has promised to support students from needy families join Secondary school through the provision of the items as a way of encouraging them to work hard in their studies.
While congratulating those that emerged top in the just-released KCPE results, Mr Thuranira challenged them to continue working hard when they join High School so that they get better grades to proceed to University.
“I appeal to them to always strive towards becoming better by getting out of their comfort zone but never out of their strength zone,” the MP hopeful told the thepresspoint.com
Mr Thuranira promised to also reward the top five candidates from Isiolo North Constituency with personal items that will be channeled to their parents through the Sub-county education office.
“This is meant to motivate them to continue doing better in my quest to empower them to become responsible citizens in the future,” he noted.
Among Isiolo’s top performers were Little Angels Academy’s Nasrina Abdulrahman who got 409 marks, Kellen Waweru who scored 400 marks and Tracy Kanana who score 405 marks.
Others were Patience Makena, Abigail Loina and Khalid Hassan from Isiolo Barracks Primary School scored 384 marks, 379 marks and 378 marks respectively.
