The Isiolo County Government has pledged to support needy learners in public primary and secondary schools clear fee arrears so that they continue with education and rid them from the yoke of poverty.

County Secretary Dr Ahmed Galgalo said the Governor Mohammed Kuti administration was keen to ensuring all Primary and Secondary School learners continue with learning uninterrupted.

“If you come across any learner who has been sent home for lack of school fees please report to my office and we will sort out the issue,” Dr Galgalo assured adding that only those in public schools will benefit from the initiative.

This comes amid continued complains by the public over alleged unfair disbursement of county government bursaries.

The county government, he said, had in the last three years constructed 53 Early Childhood Development Education (ECDE) classes across the county and equipped the centres with necessary facilities such as desks and textbooks.

Dr Galgalo spoke during reopening of Brainstar Schools over the weekend where he had represented the Governor.
