Four people, among them two children, have died in separate road accidents in the last three days.

Two people, a driver and passenger, died on the spot and two others seriously injured when two lorries crashed in Ngaremara around 5PM on Saturday.

In a sad coincidence that sparked protests, two eight-year-olds, a boy and girl who were both going home from school, died in Kambi Garba and Mwangaza accidents that occurred on Thursday and Friday respectively.

The boy was hit by a lorry and died while receiving treatment at Kenyatta National Hospital while the girl was knocked down by a motorbike but succumbed at Isiolo County Referral Hospital.

The two incidents occurred exactly a day apart as the Thursday one happened around 4:30PM and the subsequent one at 4:50PM.

The lorry’s driver escaped after the incident but police seized the vehicle as investigations into the incident continue.
