Residents of Kuresoi North in Nakuru County have blamed police officers for too long to collect the body of a Grade Three pupil who was defiled to death by unknown people.
The 10-year-old boy was reportedly sodomized and his body dumped in a cypress plantation about 100 meters away from Seguton-Olenguruone Road on Sunday.
Angry residents blocked Molo-Olenguruone Road for more than six hours accusing police officers of not treating the matter with the urgency it required.
Joseph Gatheru the boy’s father said that his son had left on Saturday afternoon to play with friends after taking lunch but did not come back.
The family later learned of his demise the following day, after the body was recovered by passers-by.
Seguton Chief Johnston Towett said that investigations had been launched to establish who committed the murder.
