Isiolo leaders want action taken against a senior police officer for allegedly failing to respond to a distress call by the family of the Isiolo bodaboda rider who was killed over alleged theft.
The family earlier said if the Isiolo Police Station OCS could have instantly responded to the alert, their kin could have not been killed.
Led by Woman Rep Rehema Jaldesa, Senator Fatuma Dullo and MPs Abdi Koropu and Hassan Odha of Isiolo South and North have weighed into the issue and demanded immediate action against the officer.
“The OCS should be sacked for failure to respond to the alert,” said Mr Koropu.
Mr Odha said the officer should not be transferred but sacked for representing the government in negative light.
Ms Jaldesa asked the senior security officers to get rid of the moles in the team saying they were tarnishing the good image of the police.
Senator Dullo said the officer must face the full force of the law saying ‘residents were not stupid and could not be telling lies’.
