Police in Kiambu have launched a manhunt for a 33-year-old man who murdered his ex-girlfriend’s lover yesterday morning.
Mr Joseph Macharia bumped into the lady’s new catch during a surprise visit to her house.
Ms Loise Kanini had at the moment left to take keys to her son who had left for school several minutes earlier.
Her new lover John Tagei, 34, had arrived at her house immediately after the son left for school around 7am.
She would on her way back be confronted by Mr Macharia who demanded to know why she had hosted another man in her house.
Reports indicate that Ms Kanini told the ex-lover that she had following their break-up, moved on and fell in love with Tagei.
Disappointed and furious Macharia stormed the house and attacked Tagei badly injuring him before vanishing.
Critically injured Tagei was rushed to Wangige Level Four Hospital and later transferred to PCEA Thogoto Hospital where he succumbed to the injuries.
