Motorists have been urged to be careful during the festive season following the death of seven people in an accident that involved two Public Service Vehicles along Kilifi-Malindi highway on Saturday evening.
Police reports indicate that the PSV that was heading to Kilifi from Malindi was on a high speed when it was involved in a head-on-collision with another one coming from the opposite direction.
Four passengers died on spot while three were pronounced dead on arrival at Kilifi County and Referral Hospital and over 10 others seriously injured.
Kilifi North Sub-County police boss Jonathan Koech said those injured were receiving treatment at Kilifi County Referral Hospital and Malindi Sub-County Hospitals.
