Nearly five years after withdrawing his candidature for Bulapesa MCA seat a 34-year-old man is prepared for a major political comeback and believes is the most suited person to take over the reins in 2022.
The father of three who is passionate about community service has been in the political arena for the last five years and having been born and raised in the ward, says he well knows the challenges that the residents face.
Mr Ibrahim Ali Adan popularly known as Ibrahim Isiolo holds a Diploma in Purchase and Supply Management from Kenya Institute of Management and is an alumnus of St Kizito Primary and Al-Falah Islamic Centre schools.
After taking a back seat in 2017, Mr Adan embarked on community empowerment programs while also runnig his businesses and was among a group that lobbied for two flood lights installed at Bulampya and Rural area by Governor Mohammed Kuti government.
If elected, Mr Adan says he will concentrate on education for children from needy families and women and youth empowerment through several programs and establishment of a rehabilitation centre to help deal with drug menace that has ruined life for many youths.
“I want to ensure children from poor backgrounds have access to quality education through provision of bursaries to assist them achieve their dreams and become future leaders,” the MCA hopeful said.
Speaking to The Press Point, the aspirant said he will establish two offices to enhance service delivery to Mwananchi saying a majority of the MCAs had lost touch with their electorates and rarely go to the offices to attend to residents’ issues.
“Having offices at Waso and Bulampya will ensure residents from across the ward access services without challenges,” Mr Adan told the press point.
The contestant says time had come for Isiolo residents to elect leaders with community at heart and based on their manifesto not those with money.
He accuses elected leaders of betraying residents trust that they bestowed on them when they voted them in the last general polls.
“Bulapesa ward needs a sober representation that can only be achieved by electing fresh blood like me,” he said during an exclusive interview with the press point.
The enthusiastic Adan, who hopes to vie on the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) Party associated with Deputy President William Ruto, is among the more than 10 aspirants who have expressed interest in the Bulapesa MCA seat currently held by Idd Hassan Kimathi.
