A 41-year-old man who allegedly stabbed his son to death in Kisii last year has been charged with murder.
Mr Nehemiah Asiago, who went into hiding after committing the incident at Bamachoda village on June 2, 2020, was arrested weeks ago in Nairobi while planning to sneak out of the country.
Police reports indicate that the suspect, following some disagreement, stabbed his son Byron Kerongo using a kitchen knife on the chest killing him on the spot.
Mr Asiago pleaded not guilty to murder charges when he was arraigned before Kisii High Court judge Rose Ougo.
He will be detained at Kisii GK Prison awaiting bond application hearing on Wednesday (April 21).
