A big number of the Isiolo leaders could deliberately miss the highly hyped visit by Deputy President William Ruto scheduled for Saturday, February 13, the Press Point is reliably informed.

Among those likely to miss the event to be held at Ngaremara are Senator Fatuma Dullo, KANU Nominated Senator Abshiro Halake, Governor Mohamed Kuti and his deputy Issa Abdi, Isiolo South MP Abdi Koropu and a host of MCAs who are supporting the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) report.

There is a likelihood that the event will be low-key as only Isiolo North MP Hassan Odha, who is banking on Woman Rep Rehema Jaldesa to salvage his tainted image, will attend the event.

Should the DP lure the MCAs to his side during his visit, there is a likelihood of the BBI bill facing resistance when the ward representatives debate it coming Tuesday.

Senator Dullo who doubles as the Deputy Senate Majority Leader, is pro-BBI and has been drumming support for the constitutional amendments insisting that “Isiolo could not afford to stay outside the government”

Only Ms Jaldesa and Mr Odha (though yet to come out in public) are supporting the DP Ruto’s Hustler movement.

A host of MPs from Meru and Tharaka Nithi are expected at the event where the DP will among others help fundraise for dozens of churches.
