The government has heavily invested in programs that enhance boys’ and girls’ rights to education, Education CAS Mumina Bonaya has said.

The programs include the school feeding and 100 percent transition policy that seeks to ensure learners from humble families remain in school and complete their education.

The government, CAS Bonaya said, will continue to regularly provide girls with sanitary towels to prevent them from dropping out of school or being lured into promiscuous behaviours.

She spoke during the launch of sanitary pads distribution at AIC Girls Primary school in Baringo County.

“The pads will be distributed to girls in all public schools across the country,” she said adding that the intervention will ensure the girls stay in school.
