Tension is building up at Ntulili area in Tigania East within Isiolo-Meru border following last night’s killing of five people by armed bandits.
Among those killed in the attack that police suspect was retaliatory following Sunday’s killing of over 20 camels were two brothers, a rider and passenger.
Transport along Isiolo-Muriri road has been disrupted after irate residents barricaded part of the stretch protesting the killings.
Four people were recently killed and two injured at Mweromania and Kiambogo areas in what was suspected to have been revenge following the abduction and killing of a 15-year-old boy whose body was found dumped in Kiambogo.
The boy had gone missing a day before his lifeless body was found.
