Nearly a week after Governor Mohammed Kuti endorsed him to take over the county leadership, Matopeni MCA Abdi Guyo has received major boost following endorsement by the Ameru community in Isiolo.

During an event attended by leaders and elders from the community, the Amerus assured the politician of their support in the August elections and exuded confidence that he will clinch the seat.

The event also saw one Hudson Kinyua picked to deputize Mr Guyo in what many say could unite the community that has for a long time suffered due to divisions.

Njuri Ncheke Council of Elders Isiolo branch Chairperson Geoffrey Nabea said they will offer Mr Guyo immense support like they did to the outgoing Governor who is the longest serving politician in the county.

He said they were ready to follow the direction the aspirant will ask them to.”We have come a long way with Dr Kuti and to be frank, whenever he told us to move left, we did exactly so. If he tells us to climb a mountain, we will gladly do so,” he said.

“If he (Kuti) has been telling us all that and we have been doing exactly as he advised, we cannot do different for Guyo”.
