Police in Marsabit are hunting down driver and owner of the lorry that was seized while ferrying a Sh45 million bhang consignment towards Sololo area last Friday.
The 64 bags weighing over 2300 kilograms were nabbed at Dambala Fachana area in Moyale following tip-off from the public and are believed to have been destined to Nairobi.
The drive sped off on interception by police leaving the vehicle behind.
Police have been on the spot as questions emerge on how the narcotics suspected to have been sourced from Ethiopia and sneaked via the Kenya-Ethiopia border sailed through the mounted roadblocks unnoticed.
