Police in Samburu North have launched manhunt for criminals who shot dead a Baragoi High School teacher on Monday afternoon.
Charles Kirukura was gunned down by unknown men about 250 metres from the school’s gate while on the way to a hospital in Baragoi town.
“The attackers waylaid and shot him dead while going to the hospital after falling ill,” an officer who did not want to be named told The Press Point.
Area Deputy County Commissioner Jackson Oloo said probe was underway to establish the motive of the fresh attack.
The school has in the past been affected by insecurity menace in Baragoi which has made the enrolment dip as parents started withdrawing their children thereby affecting its performance.
