Narok chiefs and their assistants who will be found aiding Female Genital Mutilation (FGM) within their jurisdictions will face legal action and lose their jobs.
County Commissioner Evans Achoki revealed that they had received information that some of the local administrators were not reporting FGM and early marriage cases within their areas.
The administrator said some of the girls had been sneaked to neighbouring counties for the cut and maintained that the government was keen on arresting all the perpetrators.
Mr Achoki said that anyone who conducts, pays someone else to conduct, offers a place for the vice to be done or fails to report such incidences will be severely dealt with.
The warning comes as different stakeholders continue to intensity efforts to achieve President Uhuru Kenyatta’s directive of Zero FGM by end of this year.
The vice has been linked to several health complications including severe pain during childbirth and sometimes fistula.
