A Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) officer has succumbed to injuries inflicted by a swarm of bees that attacked him in Mombasa.
John Mutwiri, a supervisor in the Investigations and Enforcement department at Customs office, was driving along Jomo Kenyatta Avenue in Mombasa when a swarm of bees attacked him and some residents badly injuring them before they were rushed to Coast General Hospital.
KRA eulogized the staffer as a dedicated and professional tax adminstrator who undertook his duties diligently and remained committed to his work.
“We are heartbroken at the loss of a dependable colleague. We pray that the Almighty comfort Mr Mutwiri’s family, friends and colleagues during this trying moment,” KRA said in a statement undersigned by Investigations and Enforcement Commissioner Dr Edward Karanja.
