Police in Bomet are holding a shopkeeper who killed a customer over Sh400 debt Saturday night.
Evans Mutai, who operates a shop at Sibaiyan area, stabbed Festus Keter to death while leaving his shop shortly after they quarreled over the money.
The deceased body was discovered by a passerby who reported the incident at Chesoen Police Station, located about 10 kilometres away.
Police officers recovered the blood stained knife from the scene.
The body was moved to nearby Longisa Hospital Mortuary as the suspect awaits arraignment on Monday to answer to murder charges.
