Two machete-wielding men have been arrested and their two motorbikes confiscated while they were planning to attack motorists along the Southern bypass on Ngong road.
Nickson Muchiri, 25, and Brian Mwangi were nabbed during Sunday operation by Lang’ata based police officers while a third suspect, boy aged 15 years, was arrested while trying to run away into the nearby Ngong forest.
The arrest comes two weeks after six suspects who attacked a motorist and his three-year-old son along the busy road were arrested while hiding in the forest.
“The arrest follows a spate of attacks that have been staged against motorists along the busy highway,” The Directorate of Criminal Investigation (DCI) shared on Twitter.
The three will be charged with planning to commit a felony.
