Drama ensued on Saturday night in Meru town when the wife of a man who reportedly works with the Isiolo County government busted her husband coming out from lodging with another man’s wife.
Unaware that she was tracking his movement, the furious wife bumped into her husband while holding hands with the woman adorn a blue jumpsuit and red heels while leaving the premises.
She immediately shoved the seemingly drunk man to the ground and descended on the woman with blows tearing her jumpsuit into pieces as residents rushing home to beat curfew stopped to watch the movie.
“Hutaniharibia familia (You will not destroy my family),” the wife was heard shouting.
The mpango wa kando only identified as Joanita, after close to 10 minutes of struggle, managed to escape while half-naked riding on a motorbike leaving the couple behind.
The wife then started beating up the husband who kept trying to slid accusing him of sleeping around with women in the disguise of official duties.
“He has been telling me he is away on official duties until recently when I discovered that he has been having affair with other women,” she responded to a resident who asked her what the man had done.
Pleading for forgiveness, the man kept asking passersby to help him out but none responded.
“Tatueni mashida yenu (Solve your issues out),” a resident said while passing by.
A lodging attendant said the county official has been frequenting the lodge with several women.
“I was shocked to learn that he was married. He frequents with different girls and sometimes goes to other lodgings around,” the attendant said.
The disappointed wife later left leaving the man outside the lodging.
