Little Angels Academy is among the best-performed schools in Isiolo in the recently released KCPE results.
Only one out of 62 candidates who sat the exam at the school scored below 300 marks out of possible 500 marks with five getting over 400 marks.
The school’s best candidate Nasrina Abdulrahman who got 409 marks was the second-best in the county trailing behind Loreto Primary’s Eyanae Ashiki who scored 416 marks.
Nasrina was followed by Salad Abdulsamad, son to Isiolo Director of Communications, Governor’s Press Service Salad Malicha, who scored 407 marks.
Other best performers at the school were Tracy Kanana (405 marks), Kabale Idris (403 marks) and Kellen Waweru who scored 400 marks.
The school headteacher Mr Josphat Kimathi attributed the performance to online learning sessions that allowed the teachers to conclude the syllabus before the schools reopened after the nine-month Covid-19 break.
“The online classes helped a lot and by the time they (pupils) were resuming, our teachers concentrated on revision which worked so well,” Mr Kimathi said.
Ms Jane Mwangi, the school Director, said the results were commendable considering that the learners did the exams in unfavourable Covid-19 times.
“We are happy to have posted a mean of 370 marks with 53 of our candidates scoring 350 marks and above,” she told thepresspoint.com at the school.
