Isiolo Land Executive Yusuf Dahir has resigned to venture into active politics after nearly two-year-stint in Governor Mohammed Kuti’s adminstration.

Mr Dahir, the Press Point is reliably informed, tendered his resignation on February 9 and will vie for a county elective seat with Senator, Governor or Deputy Governor among the likely options.

During an interview with The Press Point, Mr Dahir confirmed intent to seek an elective post but did not divulge details into the position he will vie for.

“It is true I have resigned and I will soon make public the position I will be seeking in the forthcoming elections,” Mr Dahir said, adding that his quest was premised on desire to change the lives of Isiolo people.

Before joining Governor Kuti’s government, Mr Dahir with Masters degree in Strategic Management was working as a banker.

He has over 10 years experience in the banking sector having worked in and outside the country.

“I have vast experience in both the private and public sectors that I want to use to better the lives of Mwananchi,” he said.

Also said to have tabled her resignation is Tourism Executive Halima Abgudo Golle interested in Cherab MCA seat.
