Isiolo MCAs are set to debate the county government’s Sh5.2 billion supplementary budget I for fiscal year 2021/22 and the County Fiscal Strategy Paper, three weeks after they skipped May 11 sitting on concerns that they were being coerced to rush the process.

The thepresspoint.com is reliably informed that the stalemate between the MCAs and Governor Mohammed Kuti over anomalies in the document especially the alleged unfair allocation of money for pending bills has been settled.

Following series of meetings with the MCAs locally and in neighbouring counties, Governor Kuti’s relentless efforts have finally borne fruits.

An MCA who did not want to be named said some of the issues they wanted amended had been rectified and that others remained so.

“What could we do and you know how he (Governor) operates?” the MCA said in response to our question on why they did not insist on having all the areas of concern amended.
