Murang’a residents and Kenyans were thrown into mourning after a 10-year-old Grade Three boy, who had been sent home over an indiscipline case in school, committed suicide at Giteme village in Gatanga Sub-County.
The boy had been asked by the school headteacher to return back with his parent only for his lifeless body to be found dangling on an avocado tree by his grandmother.
The minor’s body was taken to Kago Mortuary awaiting post mortem.
Investigations into the incident have been launched.
