Forty nine people have been arrested while smoking shisha near Isiolo Law Courts.
The revelers, among them a businessman, were pounced by police officers acting on a tip-off from the public while partying inside a hall behind one of the buildings past curfew hours.
Isiolo County Commander Joseph Kigen said 20 machines were seized during the Thursday night operation.
The police boss said the operation to smoke out those offering the flavoured tobacco will continue in Isiolo town and its outskirts.

County Commissioner Herman Shambi warned those in the water pipe tobacco business that they risk arrest and having their businesses closed and their licenses revoked.
“We will not allow anyone to ruin the lives of our youth. The operation will be sustained,” Mr Shambi said.
Mr Kigen asked residents to assist police with information that could lead to the arrest of those selling shisha.
