One month after a warrant of arrest was issued against Nyali MP Mohammed Ali following skipping of court proceedings by a terror suspect he stood bail for four years ago, the suspect has been arrested offering a sigh of relief to the MP.
A Kwale court on October 5 issued the arrest after the accused Noordin Hassan Abdalla failed to appear in court 18 times.
The suspect had been arrested over terrorism-related charges and was released on Sh50, 000 bond after the legislator stood surety for him.
Mr Hassan who last appeared in court on January 21, 2020 has since been arrested and is set to be arraigned before a Kwale court.
Reports indicate that Mr Ali, who had earlier said he needed more time to explain to the court the whereabouts of the terror suspect, is already in court.
