Embattled FKF President Nick Mwendwa has finally been charged with corruption related counts involving loss of Sh38 million.
The Director of Public Prosecution had filed four charges against Mr Mwendwa including fraudulent acquisition of public property and conspiracy to commit graft.
He is accused of irregularly acquiring public property worth Sh2.5 million in May, receiving Sh6 million between March and May this year and conspiracy to defraud FKF of Sh29.5 million.
The official was first arrested on November 12 and freed on November 25 on Sh4 million cash bail which the court ordered be returned after the Prosecution closed the file without preferring charges against him.
He would be arrested days later and arraigned in court but the charges were not read out after he termed the charges improper and illegal but the Prosecution asked the court to reject his application.
Mr Mwendwa on Tuesday denied four counts before Milimani Law Courts and was released on Sh15 million bond or Sh10 million cash bail.
