Citizen TV has absorbed the Tharaka-based Muuga FM’s news reporter as one of its correspondents to cover Tharaka Nithi County and parts of Kitui.
The renowned reporter will join other correspondents across the country in collecting, analyzing and disseminating news for the leading national TV alongside Kikuyu vernacular Inooro TV while operating from Tharaka Nithi.
Before joining Muuga FM which is one of the Royal Media company local dialects stations airing in Kimeru in 2018, Mboco had worked at Mwariama Fm for several years before joining Meru county government as a camera person during former Meru governor Peter Munya’s regime.
However, it is after joining Muuga FM that Mboco became popular in the county courtesy of his vast skills in news hunting and packaging aided besides the charming voice that enabled him to become a household name in Tharaka Nithi and neighbouring Meru County.
On allocation of new duties to dispense, The Press Point can authoritatively report that Mboco is ready to take in the new roles by the employer company towards helping the company realize its objectives and keeping the county in the know.
Ms Lisa Kathure and Nancy Kangai are the other Royal Media Services correspondents from the county covering Chuka Igambang’ombe and Maara constituencies respectively for Muuga FM.
With a long-existing gap in media coverage for national television in the county having been sealed off, the county is expected to attain a new face in terms of news coverage especially on touchy issues that have never found their way into media lens and screens despite residents thirsting for the same.
