Police in Nairobi are hunting down a man who together with an accomplice reportedly killed a bodaboda rider who was ferrying them to Kawangware’s stage 56 on Wednesday afternoon.

Police reports indicate that the 31-year-old Mogaka Chacha who used to operate between Kawangware and Kangemi picked the two passengers, but unknown to him, the passengers were preying on him.

On arriving at Muslim area, the suspects turned on him and tried to rob him of the motorbike.

As Mr Chacha tried to defend himself, one of the suspects stabbed him attracting attention from other riders in a nearby stage.

Unfortunately he died on spot as the riders descended on one of the attackers while the other managed to escape.

Police officers who arrived at the scene rescued the suspect from the irate riders and rushed him to Kenyatta Hospital where he is receiving treatment under close monitoring by security officers.
