A man who allegedly threatened to kill his friend for stealing Sh5, 600 from his Mpesa account has been charged before a Kibera court.
Mr Wamiru Odhiambo reportedly attempted to stab Daniel Muriuki with a knife on March 17 at the latter’s house in Ndumboini, Dagoretti.
Mr Muriuki was opening his door after hearing a knock when he was attacked by the suspect who threatened to eliminate him if he failed to pay the money.
The victim had transferred the money to his account the previous day to the incident after borrowing the suspect’s phone.
Before Kibera Senior Principal Magistrate Philip Mutua, the accused pleaded not guilty and was released on Sh50, 000 cash bail.
The court set April 4 for mentioning of the case
