A boyfriend to a 15-year-old secondary girl who gang-defiled the student together with two other young men has been jailed for 15 years.
The two others Duncan Mwirigi and Timothy Murithi aged 22 and 20 years old respectively will also serve 15 years imprisonment.
The three reportedly approached the stranded girl as she sheltered from a heavy downpour on the night of March 24, 2020 at Mulango market in Tigania Central.
Pretending to her get home, the suspects tied her hands and covered her mouth and took her to one of the suspect’s house where they defiled her in shifts.
The distressed girl sought refuge at her classmate’s house where she stayed for three days after she was ejected out of the house by the defilers.
A medical test conducted on her showed that she was pregnant when the incident happened.
Tigania Principal Magistrate Gathogo Sogomo, while delivering the ruling, termed the act evil and demeaning and said a minimum sentence was given because the men were first offenders.
