Two men, a kenyan and Nigerian national, who conned an Italian preacher Sh19.5 million have been arrested.
Steve Steve Okuthe, who had been previously arrested on several occasions on fraud charges, and Gideon Nuka were arrested on Wednesday evening after they failed to deliver a gold consignment to Dubai as earlier agreed.
The preacher-cum-politician was lured into the trap after he was shown fake gold which he paid for and even paid another amount to have a private jet to deliver the shipment.
It is reported that Mr Nuka had been following the preacher on his gospel mission across the world according to report shared by the Directorate of Criminal Investigations.
The duo were arraigned in court on Thursday and charged with obtaining money by false pretense.
