The bodaboda officials during the March 15 meeting. BETTY LUKE/PRESS POINT

By Betty Luke

Officials of bodaboda operators from four wards in Isiolo have expressed disappointment with Isiolo Municipality manager Osman Halake for walking out of a meeting he had himself convened at Isiolo town police mess.

Mr Halake had together with Isiolo traffic commander Wycliff Simiyu and Ngaremara and Isolo central Assistant county commissioners called the meeting to collect views on the expected bodaboda operators registration exercise meant to bring sanity in the sector.

But immediately after making his presentation Mr Halake sped off leaving the other officers to respond to queries that were specifically directed to the municipality.

One of the bodaboda officials at one time paused for about two minutes while waiting for Mr Halake who was peeping through the window to end a call he was making.

The angered officials were however satisfied with the responses they got from the two ACCs, Mr Simiyu and Senior Chief Hassan Hokicha.
