Five people, among them a woman, died and several were injured in an accident along Kisii-Nyamira highway Monday morning.
The five died on the spot after a Nissan Matatu they were traveling in rammed into a stationary lorry that was parked by the roadside.
The number of those injured in the around 4am incident remains unknown though unconfirmed reports indicate four people are nursing injuries at Kisii County Referral Hospital.
Probe has been launched to establish the cause of the accident.
