Whoever organised for Mama Ida Odinga’s humiliation in Meru county will live to regret his or her action.
It won’t be by revenge from Odingas, but guilty conscience.
For those Christians who choose to desecrate a worship function because you were influenced to misbehave by politicians, know that God noted your behaviour and will definitely serve you with His justice.
In all my growing, I have never heard nor witnessed such callousness.
It is primitive, insensitive, uncouth and for lack of better word thoughtless for women to behave in this manner.
How will those Meru women expect to engage with Ida should she become the First Lady of this country?
Who are these short-sighted people who have gone against all known Kimeru tradition to humiliate a humble visitor?
Where is Njuri Ncheke to comment on the matter?
Well, if it is because you Meru women have been told to hate Raila Odinga because he wants to be president, you better know that not all Merus do so.
Furthermore, if Kenyans are going to decide Raila is the President through the vote, there is absolutely nothing anyone can do about it, not even devious leaders and Meru women.
Mark my word, you will live with that nagging guilt for the rest of your lives unless you seek forgiveness, not from Ida Odinga but God Almighty.
As for Ida Odinga, Mum, don’t be cross with a few misguided women who were under the influence.
When the time comes Mama, treat Meru women with grace and fairness.
Kindly ignore this incident and rest assured that your illustrious struggle for the rights of women and family is recognised and appreciated not only here in Kenya but internationally.
I cannot talk on behalf of the Meru community because I hold no political or leadership position but accept our sincere apologies as a community.
Every community and even family has bad apple/s and this is definitely one such instances.
Mama, you are welcome to visit Meru anytime, anywhere and at your own time.
God bless you Mama Ida Odinga.
