An African Independent Pentecostal Church of Africa (AIPCA) leader had been charged with being in possession of fake US dollars and Kenyan notes amounting to Sh36 million.
Mr Benard Maina Mwangi, the Secretary General of AIPCA churches in Kenya was found with 365, 000 fake US dollars and Sh96, 000 fake Kenyan shillings in denominations of 1000 notes.
The cleric was found with the money in his car while driving along Kiambu road on March 10.
He denied the charges before Milimani Senior Resident Magistrate Carolyne Muthoni Njagi.
He was released on Sh100, 000 cash bail.
