Two men in their early 20s have been charged before an Isiolo court for reportedly robbing a police reservist of items worth Sh40, 000 while armed with a gun.
The duo, Samuel Lome (22) and Geoffrey Lawasa (23) committed the offence jointly with others who did not appear in court in December last year at Kulamawe area on the outskirts of Isiolo town.
At the time of robbery, the court heard, the accused persons threatened to use physical violence on David Mwiti Mwiria from whom they stole a mobile phone, Sh6, 135, Police Reservist jungle trouser and shoes among other items.
They pleaded not guilty to robbery with violence before Isiolo Principal Magistrate Evanson Ngigi.

They were each released on a bond of Sh500, 000 with one surety of similar amount with hearing of the case scheduled for April 20 this year.
Police reports show that the duo robbed the man while fleeing after shooting a woman on the thigh at Soko Mjinga area on the night of December 2, 2019
The armed men ambushed the woman while with her son inside the house shortly after closing the shop.
