Schools have been warned against the hiring of buses and ordered to ensure they are primarily used for academic-related activities.
Learning institutions have been hiring out the buses to communities for weddings, funerals, political events, and church activities at some fee.
Education CS Prof George Magoha warned schools’ administration and board of management against hiring out the vehicles for other purposes.
The CS also directed that schools comply with health protocols especially social distancing in the vehicles.
