Six people have died and several injured in an accident involving a lorry and a shuttle along Nakuru-Nairobi highway.
Police reports indicate that the North Rift Shuttle, proceeding to Nakuru town, collided head-on with the oncoming lorry at Greensteads area around 7PM halting transport along the busy stretch for nearly one hour.
The six among them five males died on the spot and an unconfirmed number were seriously injured according to Nakuru County police boss Beatrice Kiraguri.
The injured are receiving treatment at local hospitals in Nakuru and Gilgil as police probe into the cause of the accident continue.
