Police in Marsabit have arrested a 24-year old woman with three hand grenades and tear gas in her handbag.
Ms Galmo Mohamed Galgalo was arrested with explosives while traveling in a motor vehicle of Nanyuki Car Sacco being driven by 40-year old Qalicha Godana who is also in police custody.
The explosives were discovered following a search by police officers who flagged down the vehicle about six kilometers West of Sololo police station.
Investigations have been launched to establish where the suspect was headed to with preliminary investigations showing military-like videos on her mobile phone.
This comes two weeks after police in Merti, Isiolo arrested two suspects while transporting an AK-47 rifle, two hand grenades and128 rounds of ammunition along Yamicha-Duma road.
