Tension is rife at Lakole area in Merti Sub-County, Isiolo following killing of two men by suspected bandits on Monday evening.
Police reports indicate that the two, whose bodies were recovered on the road with gunshot wounds were attacked while going about their normal duties at around 10 PM.
A contingent of security officers has since been deployed in the area to ensure normalcy resumes as the detectives investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.
The attack comes nearly three weeks after a suspected armed bandit was arrested following a fierce fire exchange with police within Sarova Shaba area.
